WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is proud to announce a gift from the Harley-Davidson Motor Company in support of the Fund's work to build the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, DC.

Harley-Davidson is donating three brand new motorcycles to NLEOMF, the first of which is a 2007 Softail Deluxe model. The NLEOMF will receive and auction off one new motorcycle each year in 2007, 2008 and 2009 to raise money that will directly support its campaign to build the Museum.

"Harley-Davidson is extremely proud of the close affinity we've had with thousands of patrol officers over the course of nearly a century," said Steve St. Thomas, Harley-Davidson Director of Police and Fleet Sales. "We are delighted to support the Memorial Fund's outstanding work honoring the men and women who serve our society as law enforcement officers."

Harley-Davidson Motor Company delivered its first motorcycle for law enforcement use to the Detroit Police Department in 1908, and has been working closely with law enforcement groups around the country ever since.
