The National Law Enforcement Museum - A Matter of Honor
Public Forum and Research Center
Learn even more about the history and practice of law enforcement in America.

The Museum will serve as a public forum for discussions, lectures and conferences. It will offer a variety of educational programs for school-aged children, adults, families, law enforcement officers and the public.

The Museum's Research Center is an access point for law enforcement history and knowledge. It is a resource for everyone — staff, educators, collectors, historians and police officers alike — to learn more about the history and practice of law enforcement in America.

Online Catalog

Materials held by the Museum will be available through an online catalog, accessible from anywhere at any time. This online, searchable database of artifacts, documents, oral histories and more will be available to the public free of charge.

Education & Outreach

Outreach education and public programs are critical components of the National Law Enforcement Museum's mission to be a world-class museum.

Still in development, the proposed education strategy includes:
  • Public programs

  • School and group visits

  • An educator advisory committee

  • Classroom curriculum-related materials

  • Electronic field trips, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and other self-guiding materials

  • Partnerships and collaborations with other museums, as well as civic, community and educational organizations
If you have specific questions about information in an exhibition, are conducting formal scholarly research or have an item to donate, a member of the Museum's research staff will be available to assist you in your quest for information.
