When visiting the Memorial, make sure to stop by the Visitors Center and Store, located just a few blocks away at the corner of 7th and D Streets, NW. The Visitors Center features information and exhibits on the Memorial and the officers it honors, and it offers a range of law enforcement merchandise.

An interactive video system provides visitors with interesting facts and figures about the Memorial, the heroes who are commemorated on its walls and other Memorial Fund programs. A separate computer kiosk allows law enforcement personnel to learn about the Officer Roll Call program and to sign up on the spot. Officer Roll Call is an easy and free way for every law enforcement officer who has ever served to have his or her story told in the National Law Enforcement Museum.

The Visitors Center houses a replica of the Memorial wall, along with some of the personal mementos that visitors have left at the Memorial in recent years - touching notes and poems, police patches, photographs and other compelling items. Photographs and displays help tell the history of the Memorial, some of the key events held there and plans for the first-ever Congressionally authorized National Law Enforcement Museum. Visitors can also view a timeline of important dates and events in law enforcement history.

The Visitors Center Store stocks a variety of high-quality commemorative items. Visitors can purchase books and videos, clothing, jewelry, patches, posters, toys and other items for both adults and children. Part of the proceeds from sales in the Visitors Center Store goes toward a permanent maintenance endowment for the Memorial.
